Step One:
A legal professional posts a task. The legal professional will determine the asking price for the task and the time required to complete the task. The legal professional will provide preliminary information about the task so that interested paralegals can ascertain the nature of the task at hand.
Step two:
Paralegals can either accept the proposal or place a bid for a higher price to complete the task. When viewing a task, the amount that the paralegal will receive once Litigo takes its fee (see below) will be displayed.
Step three:
Legal professionals choose one of the offers made by paralegal(s). The legal professional will contact the paralegal to provide instructions for the task.
Step four:
Once a legal professional has accepted a paralegal’s offer to complete the task at an agreed price and required amount of hours, the legal professional will be deducted the agreed amount for the task. This payment is held in Litigo’s escrow account until the task is completed.
Step five:
Once the task is completed, the paralegal is paid the amount paid by the legal professional minus Litigo’s fee (see below).
Step six:
Both the paralegal and legal professional are encouraged to leave a review of the other party. This assists future paralegals and legal professionals in determining the quality and reliability of legal professionals and paralegals in the Litigo marketplace.

Firstly, Litigo asks that legal professionals do not share confidential information about a task when posting it. Detailed instructions about the task should only be provided once the legal professional accepts a paralegal to complete the task.
Each paralegal is required to agree to Litigo’s terms and conditions when signing up. These terms and conditions (which can be viewed here- Terms & Conditions | Litigo) include an obligation on each paralegal not to disclose any information about the tasks they work on.
Furthermore, before making an offer in response to an advertised task, paralegals must agree to Litigo’s non-disclosure terms, which can be viewed here.
Litigo also encourages legal professionals to provide their own Non-Disclosure Agreements if they have any concerns about disclosure of confidential information. These agreements can be sent to the paralegal after the legal professional has accepted them to undertake the task and prior to providing the instructions of the task.
